Kiln firing

Firing Art Clay Silver in a Kiln

Art Clay Silver is easy to fire in a kiln. The advantage of kiln firing is that you can fire much larger pieces than with the other two methods. You can also fire pieces with core materials such as Cork core clay and artificial stones. You will need a kiln with a temperature controller so that the temperature can be held at the right level for the time required. All Art Clay Silver packs have full firing instructions.

ART CLAY SILVER KILNS
Firing Art Clay Silver in a Kiln

Fibre Board 100 x 150 mm
Place Art Clay pieces on this board when firing in the kiln. Can be cut to size.

Remember to pre-fire a new board before use: simply place in the kiln and bring the temperature up to at least 500C. You can then take the board out immediately and use it. This is to fire away any residues from manufacturing that might affect the silver.

Price:   £5.38 (Including: VAT at 15%)
