GLUE

Polymer Clay is fussy when it comes to which glue you should use. The following are proven over long periods of time. For gluing jewellery findings to polymer clay, we recommend either two part epoxy glue such as Araldite, or Superglue (see below). For gluing soft materials such as dolls hair, fabric or paper to polymer clay, use a PVA glue such as Tacky glue (see below).

Tacky Glue Tacky Glue
This is a British manufactured glue that is highly recommended. Strong, flexible with a good grab and dries clear. Use for spreading over baked clay to attach fresh clay and for spreading onto glass, china, wood etc. before covering with soft clay to give it a key.

Ideal for gluing fabric, hair, paper etc. to polymer clay. The equivalent to "Sobo" in American publications.

Deluxe Tacky Glue 112gm

Price:   £3.95 (Including: VAT at 17.5%)

Quantity:

Superglue: Rocket Rapid Superglue: Rocket Rapid
Another British product from Deluxe. A large bottle (20g) which lasts for ages with a non-clogging nozzle. 5-10 seconds setting time gives you time to reposition if necessary. Medium viscosity so it will not run everywhere.

Use for gluing baked polymer clay pieces together and for mending broken polymer clay items. Perfect for gluing pipecleaners to the limbs of miniature dolls and for assembling polymer clay boxes. The bond is stronger than the clay.
