Workshops are always a wonderful way to learn a new skill and improve on an old one. We have workshops available for all levels from beginners to advanced.
Our workshops are held in the Clay Pit Studios in the pretty Suffolk village of Wortham, just off the village green.
Our Senior Art Clay Instructor is Lynda Cheney who has studied in Japan with the Art Clay Silver Master Instructors. Lynda has won several prizes for her work in Art Clay in both the UK and Japan.

ART CLAY CERTIFICATE LEVEL 1
Held at the Clay Pit Studios, Wortham, Suffolk.
The first certificate level qualifies holders to teach Art Clay Introductory Classes and to purchase Art Clay products at discount. It is an excellent grounding in Art Clay techniques and even if you do not wish to teach, it will give you a wonderful jump start into this exciting material.
We recommend that you have done at least an introductory workshop or have other metal clay experience before attempting Level 1.

The first level course for Art Clay. Students will cover all the basic techniques including ring-making, pendants, stone and pearl setting, burnishing, filigree work with a syringe, hollow core items, firing and polishing. Price includes all necessary tools (to keep) and materials including 80g of Art Clay Silver in various forms; stones and pearls, pure silver findings

ART CLAY CERTIFICATE LEVEL 2
Held at the Clay Pit Studios, Wortham, Suffolk.
The second certificate level covers all the beautiful advanced techniques in Art Clay that have been developed in Japan over the last decade. Holders of this Senior Instructor certificate have even more benefits: They are qualified to teach Art Clay Introductory Classes as well as Level 1 and Level 2 classes with the support of Art Clay World UK. They can purchase Art Clay products at wholesale prices regardless of quantity.
Please note that you must have successfully completed Level 1 before you can take this class and be accomplished in all the techniques covered in Level 1.

At this level, students cover many advanced techniques including classic ring-making, setting semi-precious stones, Art Clay Gold paste, glass fusing and mounting glass in silver, advanced syringe work, oxidising and mirror finishes. Price includes a small extra toolkit to build on the Level 1 toolkit and materials including 90g of Art Clay Silver in various forms; artificial and natural stones, pure silver findings.
