Dolls from the book's Victorian chapter

Polymer clay - or modelling clay as it is also known - is a uniquely versatile material. It comes in a wide range of colours and, once it has been shaped, can be hardened permanently by baking in an ordinary home oven. It is also extremely fine textured and is therefore an absolutely ideal material for making miniature dolls.

Polymer clay expert, Sue Heaser, shows simple techniques for making a complete family of fully jointed, posable, miniature dolls from adults and grandparents to adorable children and babies. She then gives patterns and detailed instructions for making costumes for the dolls for four main historical periods.
